Regular Home Maintenance: Keep Compost Active, Maintain Dryer Ducts, Eliminate Pest Magnets

This week we have a few quick maintenance items around the house. We all clean the dryer lint screen between loads. Did you know that the dryer ducts should be checked and clean at least once a year? Doing so will reduce the risk of fire and increase your dryers energy efficiency. ·         Unplug the dryer and pull it gently away from the wall. Water Conservation Tips

There is never enough water to waste, so today we have some tips for reducing your water usage. Inside the house or workplace: ·         Only run the dishwasher and washing machine with full loads. ·         Fix leaks right away. While a leak of one drip per minute wastes about 34 gallons a year, a leak of one drip per second is almost 3000 gallons a year. ·         Shorten your shower time.
