Friedman's Home Improvement 

1. Purpose
Friedman's Home Improvement is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and distraction-free environment for our customers, Team Members, and partners. To maintain this environment, we restrict solicitation and petitioning activities on company property to the fullest extent permitted by law.

2. Scope
This policy applies to all individuals not employed by Friedman's Home Improvement, including vendors, contractors, petitioners, canvassers, salespeople, and members of the general public. It covers all company-owned and company-leased property where the business controls access, including interior spaces, storefronts, sidewalks, walkways, and parking areas.

3. Policy Statement
To ensure a positive and distraction-free customer experience, non-Team Members may not engage in solicitation, distribution of materials, or promotional activities on company property, regardless of cause, purpose, or affiliation.
Prohibited activities include:
  • Soliciting money, donations, signatures, or memberships.
  • Distributing flyers, pamphlets, political materials, or other literature.
  • Selling or promoting goods, services, or events.
  • Conducting surveys, petitions, voter registration drives, or similar activities.
  • Using company property for demonstrations, performances, or gatherings.
4. Exceptions
Exceptions are permitted only when approved in writing by company leadership, such as authorized educational or informational events hosted inside the store.

5. Enforcement
To maintain a safe and distraction-free environment, store leadership will:
  • Inform the individual of the No-Solicitation Policy.
  • Request they stop and leave the property.
  • Document the encounter when appropriate.
If the individual refuses to comply, Friedman's Home Improvement may contact law enforcement for trespassing removal or pursue civil action when necessary.

6. Security & Monitoring
To support enforcement, the company may use posted signage, security personnel, and video-monitoring technologies.

7. Customer Experience Commitment
Customers who feel uncomfortable or impeded by solicitation activities are encouraged to inform a team member immediately so appropriate action can be taken.

8. Policy Violations
Violations of this policy may result in removal from company property, permanent bans, or legal action.
