Our Story

Since 1946 we’ve been a community stronghold — first in Petaluma, then throughout Northern California. We’ve made it a point of pride to establish ourselves within our community, to get involved, stay true to our local roots and operate our family-owned and independent business with integrity. We are committed to delivering unmatched service, products, resources and real value to all of our customers – the do-it-yourselfers and small businesses, as well as professional contractors.

WE WERE BORN TO BUILD

We’ve been family owned and operated since 1946. Three generations of Friedman’s have been at the helm of our independent, locally owned, family-run business. Is the Home Improvement business in our blood? We like to think so. We were literally Born to Build, but we also love that working in this business has been a choice and an incredible honor for our entire family.
